This is when the adventure really starts. The Incas were great builders who created the most astonishing road network in the world. Almost 42,000 kilometers of Inca roads ran through a sizable part of South America. Many of roads are still in use today. The Inca Trail is a 45km mountainous trek famous for its beauty and Inca ruins along the way. After spending two days in Cusco you should be fully acclimatized to the high altitude. We'll pick you up from your hotel early in the morning and drive to km 82, which is the start of the trail. The first day of the trek is relatively easy, following a winding path beside the Cusichaca River. The second day is more demanding as you climb the highest pass at 4200m. The third day is
a long but beautiful day passing many of the Inca ruins such as Runkurakay, Sayacmarca, Phuyupatamarca and Wiñaywayna. The trail also passes through a small tunnels as well as a cloud forest filled with colorful birds and wild orchids. You also have a chance to see nice views such as snow- capped Salkantay, Humantay, Pumasillo, and Palcantay. Arrival at Machu Picchu for sunrise in the morning of the final day is the climax of a tiring yet rewarding trek through the Andes. Late in the afternoon you'll return by train to Cusco.
